Support the Arboretum Center Fund

The Arboretum Legacy Campaign was established to raise funds to renovate and expand the Dorotha Smith Oatts Visitor Center at The Arboretum and to establish an endowment to support the facilities and educational programs. The Visitor Center annually accommodates over 12,000 people who attend classes and events, with thousands more who use the outdoor living classroom. The existing visitor center includes one classroom/meeting space that also serves as an exhibit gallery, boardroom, volunteer workroom, children's classroom, community meeting room and lecture hall. Without adequate facilities, these activities compete for the space, limiting the size of the audience and the number of programs that can be offered.

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary year in 2016, we are proud to have met the $250,000 challenge grant issued by Mrs. Oatts to raise funds for the Visitor Center renovation and expansion. We are working with the architectural firm DeLeon & Primmer to develop schematic design plans for the expansion to include staff offices, classroom space, gift shop and kitchen areas, as well as adjacent flexible outdoor spaces that can be used for teaching and demonstration purposes.

You can support the Arboretum Center Fund on this page. If you'd like to give to another fund that is not listed, please use the search box in the upper right of this page and type in the desired fund to make your gift. We are grateful for your support!
